Single-seater rising star John Bennett is ready to build on a hugely promising pre-season testing programme and challenge for silverware from the off as his 2024 GB3 Championship campaign gets underway this weekend at Oulton Park (30 March-01 April).
Bennett approaches his third season in the UK’s premier single-seater category with a title challenge firmly in his sights, having enjoyed a successful start to his partnership with leading team JHR Developments over recent months.
The Salisbury-based driver has shown fantastic pace across recent official pre-season tests at Oulton Park, Donington Park and Silverstone, regularly finishing within the top five overall on the timesheets against an ultra-competitive 2024 entry.
Bennett’s performance at Oulton Park was particularly eye-catching, as he set the fastest lap of all by four tenths of a second. The 20-year-old talent hopes that is a good omen as he returns to Cheshire this weekend for the opening three races of the season.

“After our successful pre-season, we’re going to Oulton Park full of confidence. I need to nail qualifying on Saturday and make sure I put myself in the position to fight for podium finishes in the races. I can’t wait to get started.”
The traditional Easter weekend curtain-raiser at Oulton Park will see Bennett tackle qualifying and the opening race of the season on Saturday (30 March), before action continues with two more outings on Easter Monday (01 April). Once again this season, every GB3 race will be streamed live on the MSV TV YouTube channel.
